angerme

angerme is a bit of a weird situation: though they're a 9-member group now, they've actually been around since 2009 as a 4-member group called s/mileage! in the beginning, they were a very cute and wholesome idol group, with songs about being young and having fun. but after they added a second generation in 2011, and the members started getting older, they decided to change their name to angerme (supposed to be the words "angel" and "larme" combined, as nakanishi kana said when she made up the name, but has a very poor english translation lol) with the introduction of their third generation members. though none of the original four members are still in the group (with the last, wada ayaka, graduating in 2019!), the group continues the theme of being energetic and young, except with a bit of an edge to them now.

even though their lineup is pretty unstable (they've had a lot of members graduating recently), i love angerme a lot! their energy is so fun, and they always deliver bops.
